MEET THE BAND

The Hanna Family & Friends love to spread the gospel across the country and bless others through their ministry in song. They have been together as a group for approximately five years. 

 

They love to sing the good old hymns and enjoy when others can participate by singing along. They truly believe that music plays an important role in worship and praise to the Lord Jesus and it is their desire that others will come to faith in the Lord Jesus.

The group consists of Mervin, Lysiane, Mark & Elizabeth Hanna. Mervin and Lysiane have been married since May 2017 and have two daughters together. Lysiane, who is originally from France, plays piano for the group while Mervin sings harmony vocals as well a lead vocal.

 

Mark and Elizabeth have been married since October 2017 and have a son and daughter together. Mark plays rhythm guitar as well as singing lead vocals and harmony while Elizabeth sings harmony vocals and lead vocal on some songs.

Sam Armstrong has been playing drums and percussion with the Hanna Family & Friends since the very beginning.

 

He brings knowledge and experience to the group with his many years playing drums with a variety of other bands. To date Sam still plays drums and percussion with Live Issue. 

 

Sam also sings the bass vocal on some of the groups songs which adds that extra bit of depth.

Ed Richardson has been playing bass guitar with the Hanna Family & Friends right from the very start.

​

Ed brings that steady baseline that provides the harmonic and rhythmic support to the band. He has a wealth of experience playing with a number of bands over the past 30 years. 

 

Ed is known for his sense of humour and brings a bit of fun and laughter to the band.

Last and most certainly not least, Dixie Heasley has been playing lead guitar and occasional acoustic guitar with the Hanna Family & Friends since the formation of the band.

 

Dixie brings a rich country flavour to the group by his lead playing. Dixie has over 30 years experience playing lead guitar with a range of other bands.

 

Over the years he has developed a unique style of lead guitar playing that can be heard in the bands music.
